Henry County Arts Council
Visual or Performing Arts Book Grant Application

This $150 book grant and a one year membership to the Henry County Arts Council are awarded directly to a student who meets the following requirements:

1. The applicant is a resident of Henry County and a HS graduate of this academic year. 
2. The applicant is enrolled in an accredited college or university in a visual or performing arts program.
3. Applicants must have experience in visual or performing arts, including community involvement.
4. The applicant must include the following information when submitting the application:
   • Resume
   • Transcript of grades
   • Two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher and one from a community member)
   • List of participation in visual or performing arts activities, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement
   • One-page typed (12 point font) essay explaining "How Art Has Impacted My Life"
5. If requested, the applicant must be willing to be interviewed.
6. Applications must be submitted by May 1.
